We are proud to welcome Beatman & Ludmilla to the en:vision stable! They have churned out some devestating dance floor destroyers over the years and production skillz are second to none!
Their new single 'It Girls' released on April 28th is simply a monster!! and as if that wasn't enough we’ve added a slammin' Future Funk Squad remix for good measure!
Hyper - Cool track from Tony Tay, awesome production with great melodies. Peak time action for sure!
Kickflip - Housey tech-breaks with steppy rhythms and a smattering of floaty synth noises here from the Zoukmeister, original mix is doing it for me the most out of the two, with its slightly more stripped back approach. Good late night music here!
Move Ya! & Steve Lavers - Some nifty kick patterns introduce this funked out electroid groove which picks up some sweet atmospherix along its journey. A solid debut from this Zouk club resident …look forward to future productions.
Uberzone - Love the tune! Nice chunk of funk on the Magic Man track! It’s a really nice hybrid of stompy breakbeat and electro elements… very nice my friend! The Trick is another
Nuboy comes around for the end of the summer with two hot remixes from a couple or Breaks' current golden boys! With Mr No Hands on the one side and Jariton on the flip, this is guarenteed to be in demand from any break beat fan that likes it deep, heavy and rolling!!
Envisions latest offering comes from the mysterious Nuboy, who will be known to some of you under a different alias, an alias close to the heart of envision! This double A single has some delectable grooves for you to get down to!!
PMT come with the outstanding heads down dirty breaks mission Necromancer, which was featured on General Midi's Y4k mix, you also get a wicked remix from the infamous Future Funk Squad.
En:vision continue their onslaught of eclectic breakbeat with a beautiful double a. Both tunes are a passionate insight into the label’s deeper, soulful side, with rolling pads, gorgeous harmonics and luscious pads driving through to the end!
Genius producer Andy Page drops a 'Nu-school' tune that has more tricks up it's sleeve than Paul Daniels at a magic circle xmas party. On the flip 'Record recs' main man Chris Carter unfurls the noodles and serves them back up in his own unique way.
Big euphoric intro on Tempest by C83, busting into a serious bit of breakbeat, with wicked edits and a floaty synth line that carries the track as it builds, flip for Retrospect, a trip down sample memory lane.
Just when you thought things had gone quiet in the en:vision camp, they drop this bombshell on you, from New Zealand based producer DJ Phully with 'Daft Fader', probably best known as that track with the star wars samples. FFS & Hi8 deliver a killer acid remix on the flip.
Phat proggy breaks from Silken. 'Feels Like' is a dark journey with twisted vocals and huge warping bass. On the flip 'Gunshy' has been remixed by the Disposable Dj's in a tight minimal dancefloor style.
Hard hitting beats with punchy snares nicely gel the squelchy bassline and trancey overtones of Forewarning whilst Aftermath digs for a deeper groove that slowly develops into something very phat indeed.
The latest offering features Tamra on vocals for a slice of warm quality breaks, perfect with the summer just around the corner. For those with a darker disposition will not be disappointed by the Christian J rework which injects a serious amount of dancefloor appeal.
More chunky breakbeat from Chris Carter who shows us all how to turn out a funky fuelled cut. On the remix are the Future Funk Squad who deliver a trademark track.
Breakspinner kicks off with some very punchy chopped up beats and gradually falls into a minimal tribal breakdown. This does not prepare you for the monster bassline that's about to drop! The groove remains tight and just builds in a simple but very effective way. This track pulls in influences of progressive house, old skool rave, and of course tuff-arse breaks!
Number One is an electro breaks monster that twists and turns, and features one of the best pulsating bass sounds we've heard. Also, there's a cheeky little vocal sample that adds a slight edge of humour to the somewhat dark atmospheric vibes. Sirloin is a totally different ball game, and a very original one at that. This has a Meat Katie kinda thing going on, with its progressive driving groove, but with Dark Mode's trademark production. This groove is so infectious that you just can't get it out of your head.
You know that C83 are going paces with a sound like this! "Taurus" grabs you by the horns and doesn't let go until the driving bass and old school stabs stop knocking in your head, with a killer groove, funky ass beats and a hooky riff. This is guaranteed to move the crowd. Phew! What a debut single to kick off with! On the flip, this track may have some sounds that train spotters will recognize, but we assure you that are from the original source (that's all we're saying). Kraymon gets to work on the remix duties and sends the vocals spinning in a foray of fx before dropping into his trademark punchy chopped up breaks. This has been road tested and has always got heads turning. See for yourself!
The A side of this 12" kicks off proceedings with a joint effort from Marcus Byrne (Digital Pimp) and Paul (R-Kidz). Menace is a bouncy funk affair with some turntable tricks from R-Kidz and Marcus' trademark tight production keeping the beats and bass fat, and totally dancefloor friendly. Guaranteed to keep the crowd jumpin' at prime time! The flip sees Glen "Future Funk Squad" N chewing up Digital Pimp's "2 Bit Hooker" and feeding it through the funk enhancer in his Funk Vault. The result being a solid twisty breaks affair with rollin' bass and a big riff to keep the floor moving. This has been tried and tested by the Pimps at Trigger in Birmingham (where they are residents) and has never failed to get the crowd jumping and begging for more. Don't take our word for it, go give it a try!
